For years we flew to my photo camps. This time was different: no flight, we got there under our own steam. The destination was Digne-les-Bains in Provence, for a week in July.
Driving south
I rented the car in Simbach am Inn. On board were the models Ivy and Vanessa and two participants, one from Starnberg and one from Switzerland. The other participants travelled separately and arrived only a few minutes before us.

Lavender at 38 degrees
Some of the lavender fields had already been harvested. But we still found a few. The landscape was a dream, at 38 to 39 degrees, every single day.

New locations, long drives
The locations were new and not easy to find. For some of them we drove 100 kilometres. But it was worth it: we got great photos.

Picture reviews and lots of fun
The side programme was the same as always: picture reviews, and everyone had fun. There were also some regulars who weren’t coming along for the first time.

Eating like royalty
The real highlight, though, was the food. We ate like royalty; the French cuisine was truly exceptional. We drank red wine. The beer was expensive and bad, so the decision wasn’t hard.
And now? My thoughts are already turning to the next photo camp.
